Honda Lands 5 Models on “Best Family Cars” List

One thing I’ve learned in the six months since becoming a parent for the first time is that you’re going to get a lot of advice about what’s best for your child. Some of that advice is going to be really helpful, and some of it will be the sort of thing you just shrug [...]

Henry Ford’s Model T was released to drivers in 1908 for $950 and dominated the market for 19 years dropping as low as $280. Fast forward to over a century later, a down economy and an environment in peril and the concerns and demands of today’s drivers are significantly different than those 100 years ago. [...]

Honda CR-Z Hybrid Best For Your Buck

Despite the fact that I’m employed by a company whose job it is to make car dealerships look good, I can’t lie about the fact that cars can be pretty expensive. Outside of buying a house, the loan an average American takes out for an automobile is the single largest purchase he or she will [...]

One thing I’ve learned in the six months since becoming a parent for the first time is that you’re going to get a lot of advice about what’s best for your child. Some of that advice is going to be really helpful, and some of it will be the sort of thing you just shrug off because it’s simply not for you. However, some resources are considerably less fallible than others, and when one reads an article from “Parents” Magazine entitled “Best Family Cars,” you’re probably smartest to take that seriously. … Continue Reading

Fast forward to over a century later, a down economy and an environment in peril and the concerns and demands of today’s drivers are significantly different than those 100 years ago. Unlike today’s economy, the roaring twenties were a period of tremendous growth and development and funded the sale of 15 million Model Ts. Additionally, the harmful effect of vehicle emissions to the environment was a relatively untouched issue when the Model T debuted, so it’s safe to say that consumers weren’t driving off the lots thinking ‘I wonder where the hybrid mode button is on this thing…’

Honda CR-Z Hybrid Best For Your Buck

Despite the fact that I’m employed by a company whose job it is to make car dealerships look good, I can’t lie about the fact that cars can be pretty expensive. Outside of buying a house, the loan an average American takes out for an automobile is the single largest purchase he or she will make over the course of their lifetime. If you rent a home instead of taking out a mortgage, buying a car could unequivocally be the most money you ever spend in one day. … Continue Reading

Honda CR-Z Changes the Face of Hybrid Driving

It was only a matter of time before somebody figured out how to make hybrid vehicles cooler. One of the first that I can ever remember seeing was the painfully unsightly Honda Insight, which boasted tremendous fuel economy (something like 70mpg) before tremendous fuel economy was en vogue, but had that the look of something straight out of “Back to the Future II.” It wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t fast, but it was efficient. … Continue Reading

What improvements can we expect from the 2011 Honda Accord?

Out with the old and in with the new. The 2011 Honda Accord has gotten a head to toe makeover and is expected to hit markets in August. The Accord, now in its eighth generation, has endured significant changes over the past three decades and has continuously left drivers wondering how each generation can top the last. Honda has done it again with the latest Accord, from styling to mechanics and everything in between, this car is sure to convince drivers that it really can’t get any better.

Honda CR-Z Makes Hybrid Driving Cool

In the world of automotive fuel economy, one basic truth has started to rear its ugly head: very few of the automobiles with the highest miles per gallon actually look as though they’d be fun to drive. I’m sorry, Toyota, but the Prius just doesn’t have t appeal of something you’d be revving at a stop light. Even some of Honda’s own hybrid offerings—the Civic, which is about as white-bread as automobiles come, and the Insight, which never did win any awards for aesthetics—aren’t particularly easy on the eyes. … Continue Reading

The new 2011 Honda Odyssey gets even roomier

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Perhaps this is what Honda was thinking when they designed the 2011 Odyssey minivan. At first glance, you may not notice the faint distinctions that distinguish the vehicle from the current Odyssey. But with the 2010 Odyssey’s list of accolades, of which include the #1 ranked minivan in 2010 by U.S. News Rankings, there isn’t much of a reason to make changes to the 2011 model.

Call it reinventing the wheel (or wheels), but the contemporary 2011 Odyssey endured subtle modifications that give the minivan a style all its own. With subtlety as the operative word, the new minivan’s wider body and improved fuel economy retains the features that made the previous Odyssey model a favorite among minivan enthusiasts.

Honda Civic Tour featuring Paramore Gets Underway Soon

There’s just something about Paramore that I love indiscriminately. Led by gorgeous fire-topped front-woman Hayley Williams, they’ve quietly (or rather, loudly) jumped up the charts in the last couple of years to become one of the hottest young groups in the industry. Williams’s cameo on the B.o.B. song “Airplanes” has the group earning more recognition than ever right now—just in time for 2010’s summer concert series. You couldn’t ask for betting timing. … Continue Reading
